Derek Blazensky
Derek Blazensky is a founding partner of Cardinal Venture Capital.

Prior to forming Cardinal Venture Capital, Derek managed venture investments for Adobe Ventures. His portfolio companies included Tumbleweed Communications (Nasdaq: TMWD), advanced email solutions for business communications; AvantGo (Nasdaq: AVGO), a mobile Internet company; PictureIQ, picture editing and creativity solutions for Internet applications; and Digital Fountain, technologies for high-volume digital content delivery.

Before joining Adobe Ventures, Derek was director of Adobe Systems' printing system product line. Derek has also held engineering, sales and marketing positions at Teknowledge Incorporated, an early pioneer of artificial intelligence and expert systems, and GRiD Systems, developer of the first laptop computer. He began his career as an engineer for Ford Aerospace.

Derek sits on the board of Nimblefish, deCarta and Roving Planet.

Derek received his B.A. in Physics from Fairfield University and his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut.
