Management Team

Don Weigel, Vice President, Product Development. Don joined deCarta in July of 2007. He has more than 20 years experience in geospatial/location technologies, product management, business development, channels, sales, and services. Don was most recently Director of Business Development for Autodesk's geospatial division where he led major product and market development initiatives contributing to the company's record growth and leadership position in the telco/utilities geospatial market. He joined Trimble in 2001 as Director of Marketing where he built and launched an integrated SaaS, hardware, and wireless services platform for location-based services, telematics, and mobile resource management. At ESRI he held various executive positions during an 11 year span in which the company grew ten-fold to become the world's largest privately held software company. Prior to ESRI he was a GIS programmer/analyst. Don has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College, and did graduate studies at Cornell University in City and Regional Planning with emphasis on regional science and GIS.
