deCarta works with NAVTEQ, a world leader in premium-quality, digital map data. NAVTEQ® map data is onboard most in-vehicle navigation systems sold in North America and Europe. It is also the driving force behind a new generation of important location-enabled services, including: Internet websites, Enterprise/Fleet/Geographical Information System (GIS) solutions, and Location Based Services (LBS).

How does NAVTEQ work with deCarta?
The deCarta geospatial platform fully supports NAVTEQ data products and services for use in 51 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, North America, Eastern and Western Europe, Asia, and Russia, and includes support for China data from NAV2, a NAVTEQ joint venture.

NAVTEQ data are regularly re-formatted into deCarta's patented Rich Map Format (RMF), a unique physical storage format highly optimized to enable high-speed access, processing, and retrieval for Internet and mobile applications that are well suited for real-time navigation and routing applications. deCarta works with NAVTEQ to support developers of location-enabled applications and services to build world-class products within the Internet, Enterprise/Fleet/GIS, and LBS markets.

Once registered with NAVTEQ, developers can utilize deCarta tools in a seamless manner directly through the NAVTEQ Network for Developers™. Use of the deCarta Developer Zone and associated tools is available free of charge to qualified developers upon signing up for the deCarta tools and agreeing to the deCarta Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Early Adopter Development License Agreement. Qualified developers can prototype and demonstrate their application for non-commercial use.
