NAVTEQ's Global LBS Challenge

deCarta is proud to sponsor the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge, a developer contest created to catalyze growth in the location-based services industry by bringing together the key players in the LBS/wireless value chain. From wireless business applications to sports, travel and security, integrating the accuracy and richness of NAVTEQ digital map data facilitates the timely evolution of the next wave of location-based innovations using wireless technology.

This year's Challenge will feature innovative applications competing for $50,000 cash and $100,000 in NAVTEQ map data licenses. Additionally, deCarta has committed to award one year ($250,000 ARV) worth of free licensing of its Drill Down Server® geospatial software platform or Hosted Web Services to the grand prize winner and each of the three category winners of the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge in The Americas (press release).
