deCarta Continues Expansion of European Sales Organization

Adds strategic sales management position for mobile navigation and location-based software technology solutions.

San Jose, Calif. - January 23, 2007 – deCarta, the leading supplier of software and services for the Location-Based Services (LBS) industry, today announced that Philip Knight has joined the company as European Sales Manager. Extending its international market coverage and adding to the Company's expertise to meet growing customer demand, Knight will be responsible for expanding business relationships with handset, personal navigation device (PND) OEMs and mobile operators throughout the region.

Knight joins deCarta from Wayfinder Systems AB, where he held the position of UK Business Director. Prior to Wayfinder Systems AB, Knight held a number of senior positions including with Motorola, including Regional Business Director EMEA (Applications and Services), where he oversaw the Global Solutions Group; providing mobile data services and content to network operators in EMEA. Knight assembled over thirteen years' experience in GPS and telematics at Motorola, specifically in the growth of sales distribution channels including OEM agreements, commercial programmes and network solutions.

deCarta's Navigation SDK (http://www.decarta.com/products/navsdk/index.html) was launched internationally on December 4, 2006. The development kit enables personal navigation device and smart phone manufacturers to quickly build and bring to market highly customized and differentiated on-board navigation applications.
