In this new role, Agron will concentrate on business and partner development efforts to further capitalize on the accelerating market for location-enabled solutions. Mr. Agron brings more than 25 years of varied experience in sales, business development, and strategic global alliances management for such companies as Apple Computer, EDS, MapInfo and Oracle. Agron comes to deCarta from MapInfo Corp., where he spent five years managing and implementing the company's strategic global enterprise alliances, VAR and OEM go-to-market programs. Most recently, as MapInfo's Managing Director of the Americas Partners Group, he pioneered the location enablement of business intelligence applications that drove new revenue streams by striking key relationships with major software companies. Prior to MapInfo, Agron served some of the world's best-known software companies, including Oracle where he was Executive Director of Solutions and Partner Development, and Apple where he held positions in sales and sales management between 1986 and 1993. Agron also held key roles at SeeBeyond, recently acquired by Sun Microsystems, and Decker Communications.
