Developer Zone

The deCarta Developer Zone is a free online service allowing developers to quickly prototype and develop location-enabled applications. Developers can write applications that make queries to a shared deCarta Drill Down Server, the industry’s premier platform for location-based services, via the Internet.

deCarta's partners provide map, POI and aerial imagery free of charge to our Dev Zone.

With the Developer Zone, developers can develop a proof of concept application in about an hour and a working application in a day. Application developers do not have to worry about some of the more complex aspects of deploying a geospatial platform, such as hardware and software configuration, geographic dataset updates, cluster administration, etc.

Registration is free for qualified developers and takes less than five minutes.
